Neon Sign Kit

Put your name in lights with a creative kit to make a neon-style sign. Described by Andy Warhol (1928-87) as ‘one of the great modern things’, neon lighting developed in the 1910s but became popular for advertising in the 1920s-30s. Get the look with a kit to illuminate a name, word or shape – perfect for parties or giving your décor a Pop Art twist. Use the black framing wire in the kit to make the shape of your chosen word or shape, then follow the outline with the neon-pink electroluminescent (EL) wire. Snip the twist-grip wire into mini twist ties to secure the wires together as you go. Connect the lead to the battery pack and choose from three lighting modes – steady lit, slow and fast flash – to illuminate the sign. Add to a backing board or attach picture pins to the wall to hold the design and display (fixing are not included in the kit). It's a fun craft and a mood light in one, perfect for parties or adding a Pop Art twist to your decor.
