It's well made, but I was really surprised that it had not been treated/oiled at all, so looks completely different to the catalogue & online picture. I'm glad I unpacked it before giving it as a gift - I have had to buy some food grade wood oil to treat it myself.
I didnt expect this - culture vulture are usually really "honest" in their presentation .

Really nice basket, wood was paler than photo in catalogue, polished it with some beeswax and its come up,lovely.
