Description
Pretty and practical: a vibrant tote bag, printed on two sides with an elegant detail of cranes in flight; set against an intricate background of peonies and blossom. Reproducing an exquisite detail from a Japanese ‘uchikake’, c.1980: a richly decorated kimono worn for special occasions, such as weddings or theatre performances. The original kimono is now part of the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London; the shoulder bag includes a museum logo tab on the side. Made in Organic cotton and printed in a striking red with a plain white interior: red traditionally symbolises peace and prosperity in Japanese culture and the bag will be a useful addition to bring home happiness.

Absolutely love this bag which is a strange thing to say about a bag! But it is so colourful & cheerful, how could I not... especially as I have a weak spot for cranes. It is of strong material & a good size with comfortable handles, big enough to go around the shoulder. Excellent product.
