Description
Keep out icy blasts with a soft hand-knitted ski band in shades of light blue. This versatile piece of knitwear can be worn as a headband, neck or ear warmer. Decorated with zig-zag bands, a popular pattern in traditional Swedish Huck embroidery; a folk handicraft that saw a resurgence in popularity in the 1930s and 40s. Our Dark Blue Knitted Wool Ski Band is handmade in Nepal, supporting the local women-makers of Bhaktapur in Kathmandu. They have honed their craft to create this hand-knitted Wool Ski Band with a synthetic fleece lining.

Lovely ski band and it will definitely keep my ears warm this winter! Initially thought band was too tight until I realised one edge is looser than the other so that, when you wear it (correctly), it hugs the shape of your head. Perfect!

This Knitted Wool Band was bought as a Christmas gift for one of the many small gifts I give our daughter who lives in Southern Germany, and when I saw it, I thought it was just what she would wear in the very ‘snowy’ weather they get there. I even liked it too.
