Eye-catching Christmas cards with intricate gold foil and embossed details. The contemporary illustration’s swirling circles and vibrant colours echoes works by Paul Klee (1879-1940). In 1914 Klee enjoyed a revelatory trip to Tunis which opened his art to a more colourful palette and abstract style. Seen in paintings such as ‘Camel (in rhythmic landscape with trees)’, 1920 and the bold mark-making of ‘Row of Trees in the Park’, 1928.
