Pottery Starter Kit

Get creative with a tactile clay kit to get started with pottery, no potter’s wheel or kiln required! With a generous 1kg of air-drying, grey-colour clay you can create a myriad of pottery pieces, each bearing your own unique stamp. Warm the clay in your hands and make your own organic-shape pinch or coil pots; try rolling for slab work; mould around jam jars or other household objects; or sculpt to create fun models and plaques. With 4 plastic modelling tools to smooth or etch designs, leave your creations to dry for 24 hours (may take longer depending on the thickness of the clay) and then add colour with pastel and a gold-shade acrylic paints. Once dry, seal with matt varnish and display. With brief instructions to get you started, and a resealable pouch to keep the unused clay airtight, you can ‘wow!’ friends and family with unique gifts.
