Description
Piece together a charming picture of the New England countryside. A fun, folk art jigsaw puzzle reproducing ‘Yard Sale’, a painting by self-taught American artist Mattie Lou O’Kelley (1908-97). Now displayed in the collection of the High Museum of Art Atlanta, the artist favoured bold colours and whimsical scenes that recalled memories of the people and places of her childhood in rural Georgia. With a wealth of heartfelt detail, it is thought the little girl sitting in the doorway of the house might be a self-portrait of O’Kelley.
