This carpet-friendly game provides a three-hole course with a dynamic selection of obstacles to negotiate. With half-size, 52cm clubs, adults will have to stoop but just set the wooden ball on the ‘tee’ and then putt your way to golfing glory: choose your own living room layout and send the ball under a graduated four-tier rainbow bridge (or use separately as extra hoops), across two wobbly bridges and through three arches to finally reach each of the three-holes marked with flags. Holes and hoops require simple slot-together set-up. Invented in the 1920s-30s, mini, or 'crazy', golf became a British seaside favourite from 1961 with the popularity of Arnold Palmer Putting Courses, which flourished from Southend to Prestatyn.
