‘Those who flow as life flows know they need no other force’, Lao Tzu
Find your flow with an absorbing and meditative kit to create colourful marbled papers. Prepare the water bath by dissolving the carrageenan powder in warm water, leave to thicken and then pour into the plastic tray. Then experiment by dripping colourful inks and comb into psychedelic art-style, swirling patterns. Then float a sheet of watercolour paper onto the liquid to transfer your marbled patterns to the paper and leave to drip dry. Easy and addictive – you’ll want to make pattern after unique pattern. Lovely to enjoy framed; or use your decorative papers to cover notebooks or use in other craft projects. Why not experiment by transferring your marbled patterns onto other porous objects, from fabric to pottery blanks (not included).
