Lumberjack Patchwork Pouffe

A variant of Scottish tartan, wool flannel-plaid became an outdoors staple in the 19th century across America and Canada. American firm Woolrich launched a black and red check ‘Buffalo Plaid’ in 1850 but a 1916 advertisement for the Red River Lumber Company of Minnesota immortalised the hard-wearing association in the popular consciousness by depicting Paul Bunyan – the folk-hero lumberjack – as their trademark in a plaid shirt. Lumberjacks and ‘jills have worn plaid ever since! Echoing the bright colours and checks, a patchwork wool pouffe, ideal for putting your feet up after a day in the outdoors

Each pouffe will vary
